GermanWings
Germanwings is based in Germany and operates flights from its main hubs located in Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund and Hamburg. It is a low-cost airline with headquarters at Cologne Bonn Airport. The airline was founded in 1997 as Eurowings and it started operations as Germanwings in 2002.
Germanwings is owned by the German flag carrier Lufthansa. The airline provides both domestic and international flights to various destinations in Europe.
Although Germanwings belongs to low-cost airlines, it has its own frequent flyer programme called Boomerang Club that enables gaining bonus miles. Checked baggage can be purchased for additional charges. The airline offers online check-in on its website.
