Jet2 operates flights from the United Kingdom to various destinations mainly in Europe but it also operates seasonal flights to New York. Jet2 is based in Leeds and was established in 2002. It operates also charter flights. The hubs of the airline are located at the airports in Leeds, Manchester, Belfast, Blackpool, Edinburgh, Glasgow, East Midlands and Newcastle.

Like most of the low cost airlines, Jet2 does not serve complimentary refreshment on its flights. However, drinks and snacks can be purchased on-board. Jet2 won the award Best Scheduled British Airline of 2005.

Jet2 has a frequent-flyer programme called myJet2, where members earn points for flight bookings which can later be redeemed for flights. The airline offers online check-in on its website.
