Air Berlin unveiled new routes for winter 2010/2011
The second largest German airline Air Berlin announced several new services to winter destinations in Italy, Spain and Austria. Let's have a look at the overview in today's article.
Flights to Italy
This winter is the first time that Air Berlin flies to Bari from three German airports: Cologne-Bonn (CGN), Munich (MUC) and Stuttgart (STR). Another new service featuring in the winter timetable is the direct connection to Brindisi. Starting on November 2, 2010, the non-stop flights from Munich to Brindisi will be operated every Tuesday and Saturday.
Air Berlin’s planes will also operate to Olbia (Sardinia) on Tuesdays and Saturdays. From November 2010 until April 2011 there will also be direct flights from Olbia Costa Smeralda (OLB) to Düsseldorf. Another new route will be operated from Berlin to Catania Fontanaros International (CTA) on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Flights to Spain
Improvements to the hub structure at the airport of Palma De Mallorca (PMI) mean that Air Berlin can continue its expansion there and offer more direct flights from Spain to Germany as well as to Switzerland and Austria during this winter.
From Stuttgart there will be four direct flights a week to Barcelona. The non-stop flights from Düsseldorf to Bilbao (BIO) and flights from Munich to Malaga (AGP) are also new to the winter schedule 2010/2011. Furthermore, Air Berlin will increase the frequency of flights to Faro (FAO) with flights from Cologne on Wednesdays and Sundays and from Hamburg on Saturdays. Another new service will be operated from Palma De Mallorca (PMI) to Amsterdam on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
