Air Canada: carry-on baggage
The carry-on baggage allowance is pretty generous. One is allowed to carry onto the airplane what follows:
- standard item which cannot exceed 23 cm x 40 cm x 55 cm/9 in x 15.5 in x 21.5 in including wheels and handles. The maximum allowed weight is 10 kg/22 lb
- personal article weighing up to 10 kg/22 lb and not exceeding 16 cm x 33 cm x 43 cm/6 in x 13 in x 17 in.
- items of clothing (e.g. a coat), small pieces of electronic equipment (e.g. a mobile phone) or infant care items
- special equipment such as mobility aids

The amount of luggage you can transport in the plane hold depends on the route.

The exceptions here are e.g. flights to/from Japan or Brazil: 2 bags included. As for the flights to Brazil, maximum weight per piece is 32 kg/70 lb.
