Air New Zealand – hand baggage allowance
The general rule is that passengers may bring on board one piece of cabin baggage weighing up to 7 kg and not exceeding 118 cm however a different size limitation applies to flights labelled as Link: 105 cm.
In addition to the above, one is allowed to carry onto the plane a personal item such as a thin laptop satchel, goods purchased in duty free shops or a handbag.
Air New Zealand – check-baggage allowance
When travelling in Economy the following allowance applies:
|standard long-haul flights||2 items, weighing up to 23kg|
|smart saver domestic||1 item, weighing up to 23kg|
|Australia, Pacific Islands, Bali||1 item, weighing up to 23kg|
Important: Remember that the above applies to flights operated by Air New Zealand. If it's not the case with your flight, check your allowance with the carrier operating the flight. Furthermore, bear in mind that flights to/from US are subject to US regulations whereby the airline operating the first segment will determine the baggage allowance.
