Aviation news: new airlines and new routes in 2013

There are new airlines coming, did you know that? Read on and keep up to date with the latest news from the world of airlines.

First of all, Air France disclosed the name of its new daughter company which is to take over its regional operation at lower costs. The new low-cost airline which will start operating in 2013 will be named Hop! On the other side on the pond another big carrier Air Canada announced the launch of a similar enterprise in a bid to increase efficiency of its operation. The new carrier is called Rouge and is planned to commence operations in July 2013.

As of May 15, the Abu Dhabi based Etihad Airways will operate flights connecting its base in Abu Dhabi and the capital in the Netherlands. The Abu-Dhabi – Amsterdam route comes in the wake of the code-share cooperation with KLM.

Another renowned Gulf carrier, Qatar Airways, does not cease to grow and its latest expansion plans include both Middle-East, Asia and USA. Among the routes you can look forward to are:
