We start off with what has got to be the most interesting new development recently – the announcement of the new Germanwings. This low-cost daughter company of Lufthansa will soon undergo a big rebranding starting from its logo to its route network. The changes in terms of new routes will come into effect in January 2013 whereas the official launch of the rebranded carrier will take place in July 2013. Among the novelties is a new class system ranging from basic to business.
The Latvian carrier airBaltic launches a new route to the joy of all Prague-enthusiasts. The new Riga – Prague route will be operated from January 2013.
Looking for London – Seoul flights? Then you may want to know that British Airways offers now six weekly flights to the capital city of South Korea.
Now for some discontinued routes – the Spanish Iberia has decided to give up on four long-distance destinations in its summer schedule 2013. The discontinued services are Madrid – San Juan, Madrid – Santo Domingo, Madrid – Havana, Madrid – Montevideo.
