Not sure how to check in when flying with Etihad? Look no longer – the answer is here.
Read a brief summary of the check-in options offered by the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates.
Etihad: online check-in
The most convenient option is to check in on the internet. Find the check-in tab over the search window on the website of Etihad and enter you personal data: last name, departure city, form of identification booking reference (6 digit alpha-numeric sequence) or e-ticket number (13 digit number beginning with 607).
You may also check-in your travel companions in one go. What you have to do next is to select your fellow travellers, confirm details, print your boarding card and complete the check-in procedure.
Etihad web check-in opens 24 hours prior to the flight departure. You can check in between then and 2 hours prior to the flight departure.

Etihad: airport check-in
You can also check in at the airport check-in desk. Remember about the closing times! Airport check-in opens at least 3 hours (4 hours at Abu Dhabi Airport) and in most cases closes 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
Etihad: city check-in
Last but not least, those of you who travel from or via the United Arab Emirates, can take advantage of the check-in facilities in Abu Dhabi or Dubai centre, respectively in Abu Dhabi City Terminal and on Sheikh Zayed Road near the airline's offices.
At the moment this option is not unavailable to passengers travelling to US, passengers with reduced mobility as well as for unaccompanied minors.
