Etihad - baggage allowance
Not sure how many kilos of luggage is allowed in Etihad Airways? Don't worry. Simply read on and find the answers to your questions.
Etihad – carry-on
When flying in Etihad's Coral Economy Class, one is allowed to take on board 1 item of hand baggage weighing up to 7 kg not exceeding 115 cm (e.g 40cm x 54cm x 21cm).
In addition to the above-mentioned, you can take onto the plain the following items:
- overcoat, blanket or wrap
- a small handbag
- a walking stick
- reading matters
- crutches or collapsible wheelchair
- laptop/tablet and in a bag
- a mobile phone
Etihad – checked baggage
When it comes to hold baggage, there are two sets of rules one applying to flights from/to US or Canada and the other one applying to other routes.
|allowance||US & Canada flights||other routes|
|bags||max. 2 items||weight limit applies|
|weight||23 kg/50lb each, totally max. 46kg/100lb||30 kg totally|
|size||max. 158 cm each||max. 45cm x 72cm x 90cm|
One more thing we have to point out is that you should find out if your flight is operated by Etihad or a partner airline. When flying on e.g. an American Airlines codeshare flight, you may have to pay an additional fee for your second bag.
