London Heathrow and Katowice have been rated as respectively the most expensive and cheapest European airport in a comprehensive price survey conducted by WhichAirline. Read on and find out more about the survey.
The lucid infographic below shows you the baddies and goodies among European airports. It turns out that London Heathrow is in the lead when it comes to travel expenses. Not only is the average price of air travel calculated per kilometre pretty high but on top of that, you pay a king's ransom when leaving your car at the airport parking lot. Among the cheapest airports are e.g. Paris Beauvais or Oslo Rygge. But keep in mind that some of them are located in the middle of nowhere and getting there may cost more than just a couple of pennies.
