Practical tips: mobile and online check in
Are you about to head out for a trip? Regardless whether you are flying to a close city or a long distance destination, you should consider whether you check online or via your mobile phone.
Online check in
Online check in is currently offered by almost all major airlines. Anybody who bought and printed out his/her e-tickets can check-in on-line. Passengers can usually check-in from 30 to 1 hour prior to departure depending on which carrier he/she chose to fly with.
And how does it actually work step by step?
Log in on web sites of the airline you are flying with. Find “on-line check-in link” (usualy it lies close to booking box) and enter your e-ticket number or the booking code. Then enter your flight number and print your ticket out. As soon as you check-in, the only thing that needs to be done is to drop off your luggage at the drop-off counter at the airport. You can usually do so for about 2 hours prior to departure.
Mobile check in
On-line check-in, has got its even more dynamic successor – mobile check-in. Airlines known all over the world (e.g. KLM, Air France, American Airlines or Lufthansa) belong among those who started working on mobile check-in project first.
Can you use mobile check-in?
The service is mainly available for high-resolution phone screens with Internet access (mainly smart phones e.g. iPhone, Blackberry or PDA). You can use the service even though you did not buy your ticket on-line. Check in time depends on the airline you want to fly with.
How does mobile check in work?
