United and Continental announced new flights to Mexico

United Continental Holdings announced that Continental Airlines and United Airlines would boost new flights between the U.S.A. and Mexico.

New Continetal flights

Continental will launch nonstop flights Los Angeles – Del Bajio. The new flights will be operated daily from November 1, 2010 with a Boeing 737–500 aircraft. De Guanajuato International (BJX) serves the cities of Leon (known for leather and shoe production) and Guanajuato (known for being a part of UNESCO World Heritage and its festivals).

In addition, Continental Airlines wants to begin flights from Austin, San Antonio and Raleigh-Durham to Cancun, Mexico. New flights could begin February 19, 2011.

New United flights

United Airlines is boosting flights from Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco to Mexico City. All flights will be operated with Airbus A319 and Airbus A320 aircraft.
